The Dior Golden Winter Holiday 2013 Collection brings us three new limited edition Diorific Vernis Nail Lacquers ($27 CAD) in their unique round packaging. Like beautiful ornaments hung from the tree these are sure to delight.
#318 Frimas is a soft and pretty sort of mauve taupe shade. It is chock full of small gold flake glitter for a really lovely effect. A glamified nude if you will.
#751 Marilyn is a stunning bright red that has almost a jelly effect. It has the most uber fine tonal shimmer that is practically invisible to the naked eye but gives the shade that little extra somethin somethin.
#995 Minuit is my favourite of the bunch. It is a deep vampy wine shade with small gold and wine flake glitter. The shade is dark and rich and the flake glitter just make this shade even more complex and appealing. I find this one goes on a bit dry but it is mostly opaque in two coats. All swatches are shown with two coats.
While I find the packaging style doesn’t appeal to my more square aesthetic I can’t help but find this ornamental polishes cute. The handle makes application a bit trickier and it doesn’t have the standard Dior wide brush I adore but the colours are too beautiful not to win me over.
The limited edition Dior Golden Winter Holiday 2013 Collection will be hitting Dior counter nationwide in November 2013.
