The new Dior Addict Lacquer Stick ($43 CAD/$35 US) is a hybrid of a lip lacquer and lipstick. These Lacquer Sticks offer intense pigmentation and a high shine finish without any of the stickiness usually associated with lacquers.

The texture of these is really divine. The intense shine and ultra light feel is thanks to the inclusion of 5 ultra-light, nourishing oils in the formula that were chose for their light refracting qualities. The quasi-crystalline base is 44% more transparent than a classic lipstick base resulting in the kind of juicy colour that I most love in a lip product.
Everything from the incredibly chic packaging to the indulgent melting sensation on application exudes luxury.
The packaging is in the upside down Dior Addict style in a deep navy beneath a purple translucent exterior that flashes lovely hints of pinky purple around the edges. The bold, recessed Dior logo in bright chrome is a very fresh take on Dior Addict packaging.
The 18 shade range of Dior Addict Stick Lacquer includes everything from trendy and statement hues to timeless classics. The four shade categories are:
- Pastel – whites infused with pink, lavender, coral, and peach.
- Neon – energetic and electric brights.
- Classic – elegant and timeless reds and roses.
- Wild – neo-nude, browns, chocolates, and purples.
The four shades I have are:
- Rolling – peachy nude
- Tease – pink beige
- Dark Flower – deep plum
- Sauvage – dark chocolate
I was surprised to discover that I absolutely love all four of these shades. The are so beautiful on and the formula is as flattering as it is comfortable. Now given these are incredibly lightweight and have a glorious shine, they obviously transfer and they don’t last for hours on end. Reapplication is a price I’ll happily pay for such a beautiful product and experience.
