I can’t believe how much I love these new launches from Dior. When I first saw them the makeup lover in me loved the stunning, vibrant colours but the practical part of me knew I wouldn’t like them on. Well shut up practical me because I DO love these on. The outstanding formulas of these new “It” products from Dior truly make them the “It” product for Summer 2014. Let’s take a closer look at the new Dior Addict It-Lash Mascara and Dior Addict It-Line Liquid Eyeliner.
The Dior Addict It-Lash Mascara ($32 CAD) comes in a permanent shade It-Black as well as three limited edition coloured shades It-Blue (not shown), It-Purple, and It-Pink. The brush is made from flexible elastomer and the spiky bristles make application so easy. It covers every lash evenly and combs them out to a clump free fringe as you apply. The rounded end is covered in shorter spiked bristles to make getting every lash, even in the corner, possible.
Very pic heavy so click through to continue.
The packaging is gorgeous. Glossy black lacquered squared tubes with the Addict knob (gee there must be a classier way to say that) on top.
I am so happy the black is going to be permanent as the formula and brush on the It-Lash Mascaras is fabulous. The black is super black and glossy. The coloured shades completely coat the lash in colour without any weird patchiness. The colours also happen to be drop dead gorgeous. The purple is deep enough to enhance the lash line but bright enough to offer a fun, and noticeable pop of purple. If the blue is as gorgeous as the It-Blue liner shade then you brown eyed babes do not want to miss out on it I can guarantee you. The pink shade may be a little tougher to wear but as far as pinks go they couldn’t have executed it in a mascara more perfectly.
The Dior Addict It-Line Eyeliner ($32 CAD) comes in the same four shades as the It-Lash Mascara (It-Black, It-Blue, It-Purple, It-Pink). As with It-Lash the black will be permanent while the colours are limited edition. It has an exclusive gel formula that gives it pure colour, intense shine, and long lasting wear without that icky latex like texture a lot of liquid eyeliners have. The applicator is a very fine brush. I didn’t think I was going to like applying with a brush type applicator but the It-Line eyeliners apply so effortlessly. There is the perfect amount of product on the brush and making even an ultra fine line or detailed wing is effortless. I am in love.
I also happen to adore the glossy black lacquered squared packaging. I thought it might be awkward at first glance but it isn’t and it looks so fancy schmancy.
If you think you have the guts to rock a pink eyeliner then I highly recommend the Dior It-Line in It-Pink. It is perfection. It-Blue and It-Purple are equally as perfect but I’m sure I don’t need to do as much convincing on those beautiful shades…
Here are some quick looks I threw on to test out, and show you, the products. I’m also wearing the new Diorshow Mono Pop Eyeshadows which I’ll review soon.

And since I still needed to test out Dior Addict It-Line in It-Blue and didn’t feel like doing a whole other look I applied it above It-Purple and then went totally cray-cray and made a wacky design and filled it in with It-Pink. I was really hoping no couriers came to the door when I was testing these!
When you see a high end brand like Dior come out with vibrant fun colours you want to hope they’ve done them right. Done something special to make them stand out and worth the splurge on a more special use product. Well Dior met those expectations and does not disappoint with their new Dior Addict It-Lash and It-Line. Available at Dior counters nationwide June 1st, 2014 and is available now at TheBay.com.
