If you are shy with colour, and looking for a way to embrace some spring shades on your eyes, then the new Dior quint in Rose Garden may be the eyeshadow palette for you.
Dior 5 Couleurs Glowing Gardens Rose Garden Eyeshadow Palette ($70 CAD) offers a mix of warm spring green and yellow with cool shades of pink and taupe in a beautiful floral texture embossed palette.
The shadows in this palette all offer a beautiful glow. They aren’t overly shimmery but rather have a refined, subtly iridescent, glow. The texture of the shadows is smooth, soft and buttery and they yield a sheer wash of colour. The translucent, sheer quality of the shadows allows you to embrace fun colours for spring in a soft and wearable way. I think for those with a deeper skin tone these shadows will look really lovely, as the shade and beautiful finish will be more evident. Against my fair skin the lighter shades had nothing to contrast with.
If you are a diehard fan of richly pigmented shadows you may not find Rose Garden to your liking, but if you prefer a subtle and easy to blend and work with colour palette than you will love Rose Garden.
Have you picked up anything from the Dior spring collection yet? I am still living for the Dior Glowing Gardens Illuminating Powder in Glowing Pink.
