I was lucky enough to win this beautiful piece of eye candy from Adventures In Makeup. If you haven’t checked out her blog yet then please do. I love her taste and keen eye for great products. The Dior 5 Couleurs Garden Edition Couture Eyeshadow Palette in 441 Garden Pastels is not something I would have splurged on myself. I don’t tend to care for the sheer, shiny formula of the Dior quints. This palette is so incredibly gorgeous that had I seen it in person I may just have been tempted though and I remember being first tempted but the fabulous review on Cafe Makeup. The embossed floral detail is gorgeous and the colours are so fresh and pretty. I am so happy I had the chance to play with this because I can now see the appeal these quints have for so many Dior fans. There is something to be said for an eye brightening wash of illuminating sheer colour. The finish of these is so lovely even if it isn’t the most flattering look for my unfortunately maturing eyelids.
I love Dior’s luxe packaging!
I really felt bad digging into the pretty shadows. I’m not one to typically have the “too pretty to use” mentality over my cosmetic acquisitions but this one certainly gave me pause.
Such a beautiful palette of soft spring pastels. I have surprised myself by how pleased I am with this palette and can see it growing on me even more in the warm months ahead.
This was part of the Dior Spring 2012 collection. Hopefully there may be some hanging around a Dior counter near you!
