The exfoliant of my dreams? OK maybe that sounds a little dramatic. To be honest I don’t “dream” of exfoliants, and if you do… well, no comment. But the new Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant ($58 US/$79 CAD) is absolutely the exfoliating step in my skincare routine that I’ve always been looking for, without really knowing what I was looking for. I have always just been looking for “more”. I don’t like using physical exfoliants. They are just to harsh on my sensitive skin. Because of this I have been loving powder exfoliants like these. The more gentle enzyme kind of exfoliant. Yet I didn’t find they were doing quite enough. Well this new Daily Superfoliant from Dermalogica is aptly named because it truly is super. The combination of water released enzymes with alpha hydroxy acids, anti-pollution technology, and activated Binchotan Charcoal really covers all the bases. My skin feels smooth and purified. The charcoal helps absorb environmental toxins trapped in pores and the niacinamide, red algae, and tara fruit extract in the formula help protect the skin from damaging pollution. This exfoliant feels incredibly effective and gentle at the same time. I am also so excited that it doesn’t contain any artificial fragrances, colours, or parabens. Plus you know what? Water activated enzyme exfoliants are just plain fun.
If you’ve been looking for the right exfoliant to add to your skincare routine that will gently, yet effectively, resurface and smooth the skin and purify the pores and skin then I highly recommend the Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant. It is pricey but goodness, I don’t want to be without it now. I am so happy it’s found it’s way into my skincare regime.
I need to take a look at this! I’ve had some success using Dermalogica with my rosacea. But, what I miss the most is a good exfoliator that doesn’t irritate! I’m so glad I’m reading older posts. ?
