I am going to get straight to the point. Go out and buy these. Right now! OMG I am so in love with these Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes! There are four shades available and at only ($24 CAD/$21 US 3.5 g) you may as well just run out and buy them all. Seriously. These blushes have an absolutely outstanding formula, stunning gerber daisy design, beautiful shades, and practical packaging. What’s not to love?
The two shades I have are Berry Pop and Peach Pop. Both shades have excellent pigmentation and a vibrant, yet translucent, finish that gives a gorgeous natural glow. The finish actually reminds me quite a bit of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes. No powdery, chalky look. Only glowing, flushed, natural looking skin. The blushes feel hard and don’t kick up any powder when you use them. It’s a strange feeling because when you rub your brush on them you don’t feel like you are picking up product but you are. The texture is quite similar to the Giorgio Armani Belledonna Highlighting Palette. Very hard and dense in the pan but soft and silky smooth to the touch. I imagine the similarity is due to the fact they both use a technology of slowly baking the product from a liquid to solid form rather than a pressed powder. The other available shades are Ginger Pop and Plum Pop.
I really can’t say enough good things about this new Cheek Pop blush formula from Clinique. My love for these blushes has no bounds. The best part is I believe they are permanent. Hopefully they will build on the shade offering in the future.
