The Clarins Rouge Eclat Satin Finish Age-Defying Lipsticks ($27 CAD) feel like intensely pigmented lip treatments. They are very light, creamy, and moisturizing. It is very comfortable to wear and lips look plump, luminous, and healthy.

These lipsticks really are like lip treatments in that they contain a variety of anti-aging and nourishing ingredients including:
- 100% plant-based waxes of mimosa, jojoba and sunflower, combined with unsaponifiable cocoa butter for immediate suppleness and comfort.
- Phytosphingosine: promotes ceramide production.
- Tocopherol: anti-radical activity.
- Gamma oryzanol: boosts micro-circulation and restores radiance.

The shade 07 Red Wine has a translucency to it but is very pigmented. It is a lovely deep… well red wine shade with the subtlest hint of shimmer. The shade 11 Passion Red is a more opaque true red that has enough blueness to brighten teeth. It has a very, very fine almost undetectable shimmer that gives the shade a lovely glow on the lips. Given the very hydrating nature of these lipsticks they do transfer and will not last through a meal but they do wear for a couple hours otherwise.

You can really perfect the look of your bold red lip by using the Clarins Lipliner Pencil in 02 Ruby ($24 CAD). It is soooo creamy and this baby is incredibly long-wearing. If you prep your entire lip with the lip liner you can add hours of wear to your look. It will remain long after the Rouge Eclat lipstick wears off. It also contains Vitamin E so it won’t feel drying as many lip liners can.
