Charlotte Tilbury recently launched a new mascara. Given my love for her original Full Fat Lashes Mascara I was excited to try this new formula. The Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara ($34 CAD/$32 US) is all about full volume. It has an elastic formula that extends out and holds the lashes like elastic for long, luscious lashes with up to 13X more volume in three coats. The great thing about this mascara is that, whether you put on two coats or four, it doesn’t clump. It gives you natural, fluttery, separated volume which is exactly what I love.

The packaging is so gorgeous. Sleek gold with Legendary Lashes in lovely script on one side, and the cutest winking eyes graphic on the other.

The formula includes Marine Glycogen which is a new hair tonic known to stimulate the growth of the hair follicle and the proliferation of keratin cells. It also contains Tamanu Oil which has regenerating properties to protect, nourish, and strengthen lashes.
The brush is a multi-bristle flutter brush featuring bristles of different sizes to capture every lash. I really, really like this brush.

Why not hear Charlotte herself tell us all about her new formula.
I actually expected much more drama and volume out of this mascara so I was surprised by the natural, fluttery results. Don’t get me wrong, there is lots of length, and volume going on here, but I love that it also maintains beautiful separation. I am really delighted with this new formula.
Here is a before and after of 2 coats. I have also wore it with three coats, which subtly boosted the volume, but still maintained a completely clump free look. I’ve never had to use a lash comb with this formula.

I think I would have to say the original Full Fat Lashes formula is still my favorite. I think it built up to a little more volume, but I don’t have one on hand to compare at the moment. I won’t shock you by telling you how long I kept the original around because I loved it so much I refused to toss it after the 3 month mark came and went.
