Yup…another Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick review. Sorry folks. I happen to have a lot of these as I’m a big fan. I must admit though that they have been bumped out of the #1 lipstick spot in my book by the Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani lipsticks.
I love Mademoiselle but she’s a tricky one. I never quite know how to describe this colour and it seems to look different on everyone. I think it has to do with how this medium shade of pink can pull quite warm on some depending on their skin tone even though it looks like a pretty neutral, medium pink in the tube. Even in the swatch pic you can see how the top of the swatch looks different than the bottom. I find it is also easily manipulated using various lip glosses on top to change it’s look completely. I think Mademoiselle is such a popular shade for many reasons. It’s use in the Rouge Coco promotional ad with Vanessa Paradis is probably the biggest reason. This promo ad also caused a lot of commotion because people wanted Mademoiselle to look on them as it did on Vanessa and so many were surprised and disappointed when it looked totally different on them. I think Mademoiselle is a shade that warrants a little test at the counter, but for those of us that buy blindly online there’s a good chance Mademoiselle will be love for you as it is for me.
