I picked up the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow in Raffinement for my friend when I was in the states a few weeks ago. She was kind enough to let me hang on to it for a while for review purposes. I think I wish she didn’t because now I think I need it!
Given I purchased this in the US it is the US square panned, pressed version. I have refused to purchase the Canadian/Euro baked quads as I haven’t cared for them but Jessica at Beautezine.com has assured me the baked version is just as exceptional and has the added bonus of being able to be used wet.
Raffinement is a gorgeous palettes of nudes with a subtle injection of mauve tones. I know it may seem a bit dupeable but the formula is incredible. The pigmentation is outstanding, the finish is beautiful, and the shadows are ultra creamy and blendable.
The photo below was taken in direct natural light. Just look at how amazing these shadows swatch. That is one swipe with a sponge tipped applicator. They are just as mesmerizing on the eye.
