The new butter LONDON Glazen Eye Gloss ($24 US) eyeshadows are probably the most unique eye products I’ve tried in a while. I can’t think of anything else quite like them. These pots of prettiness have a bouncy, wet, gel texture that is incredibly light. They are formulated with a one of a kind gelling agent that gives them their fun, pudding like texture. They glide on like a wet gel and set to a powder finish.
They give off an intense amount of pigment that has incredible sparkle and a shiny metallic finish. If you like your eyes to have some serious eye catching sparkle and shine you are going to LOVE these. I am absolutely obsessed. They are so stunning. You can also easily sheer them out for a wash of sheer shimmer.
Once they set they don’t crease or smudge on me but they will easily fade and create a lot of fallout if you rub your eyes. But obviously you shouldn’t be rubbing your eyes. The formula is not waterproof. In fact it easily removes with water alone. I do find if you are doing blending around them (for example blending the edges into your crease shade) it can create some fallout as well so I prefer to apply them to my lid with a finger after I’ve applied the rest of my eye look and keep the manipulation of them to a minimum.

There are four shades available.
- Frosted – warm sparkling rose gold
- Spark – warm sparkling champagne
- Oil Slick – rich chameleon
- Bronzed – rich sparkling deep bronze

My favorites are Frosted and Spark. My only complaint about these new Glazen Eye Glosses is the shade range. I find it runs really dark. Frosted is indeed an absolutely breathtaking rose gold (and my favorite shade) but the other shades run a lot darker than I would like, and than their shade names imply. Spark is supposed to be a champagne shade (which I would love) but it’s actually more of a bronze. Bronzed I don’t find to be very bronze but almost more of a blackened brown with golden sparkle. Oil Slick is a really beautiful duochrome shade. It’s like a purple/reddish brown with teal blue shift/sparkle. It is also quite dark though so you will be rocking a smokey eye when you play with this one. The above swatches are full impact swatches but they can easily be sheered down from this metallic finish to a soft, sheer sparkle as shown below. Sorry this lighting does the sparkle NO justice.

Thankfully these are a core product because I adore them. Hopefully they expand the shade range! Have you tried them yet?
