Today the Makeup Wars team is sharing our favorite bronzers. I’ve rounded up what I feel are the Best Bronzers for Fair to Light Skin Tones. These are the ones I find myself alternating between all year round. Whether I’m going for a more full on bronzey look in the summer, or adding some much needed colour back into my face in the winter, these are the eight bronzers I reach for most often.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow ($68 US) – This palette is worth all the hype. The bronzer is a very neutral shade that works beautifully for sculpting and contouring as well as bronzing. The highlighter shade is equally stunning. I think everyone needs this beauty in their life.
Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in 02 Blondes ($57 US) If there is one thing Guerlain excels at, it’s bronzers. This multihued bronzing powder with it’s touch of pink looks so incredibly flattering on fair skin. There is a wide range of shades to suit a variety of skin tones and the subtle glow it gives skin looks natural and radiant.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Bronze Fusion in 15I ($ US) – This is such a gorgeous bronzer. The shade has no orange tones or muddy quality. The tone is perfect. The subtle sheen and gel powder formula of this bronzer makes it sit incredibly naturally on the skin. There are other equally beautiful shades available but 15I (soft iridescent amber) is my favorite.
Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder in 02 Douce Saison (Limited Edition Floral Edition shown) ($65 US) – Everything about this bronzer is so incredibly lovely. The shade, the packaging, the beautiful floral embossment, the finish on the skin. Love it!
It Cosmetics Your Most Beautiful You Palette ($38 US) – I have barely put this palette down since receiving it. The bronzer, blush, and highlighter are all perfection. Beautiful shades, formulas, and finishes. Such a great all in one face palette! I was worried at first the the bronzer wouldn’t work on my fair skin but applied with a large duo fibre brush it’s perfect.
Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer ($29 US) This bronzer has been a cult favorite for years, and for good reason. The matte finish and flattering shade look amazing on just about everyone. It is one of my most used bronzers in my professional kit.
Benefit Dallas Blush ($29 US) This is a blush but when I am looking for a one step bronzing blush application I adore Dallas. This rosy bronze hue gives life to the skin and will always be a favorite.
Too Faced Sweethearts Bronzer in Sweet Tea ($ US) – If you are looking for a bronzer with a real glow you will love this one from Too Faced. The shimmer isn’t over the top and and the very neutral tone of this powder is really flattering.

What beautiful picks for paler skin tones! The CT is definitely calling to me!
Ohh you need a little CT in your life!
The MUFE looks STUNNING! I love the CT and Dallas too!
They MUFE bronzers are fabulous! Not talked about enough IMO.
As someone pale I love to see your choices. I have the IT but it’s a little too dark for me, maybe it’s my application though. I’d love to own the Charlotte Tilbury one.
I thought it would be too dark on me as well but applied with my MAC 187 Duo Fibre brush it’s perfect.
Your choices are all so perfect. I want to try Guerlain bronzers and I also have the CT on my list.
You can’t go wrong with either!
Thank you for such a comprehensive list! My all-time favorite is Kevyn Aucoin’s Sculpting Contour in light. My daughter has been eyeing the new the KVD Shade and Light Creme Contour kit. I’d like to explore a cream formula.
