I have more Spring colour releases from Benefit Cosmetics to share with you. Their new Longwear Powder Shadows became available this month, March 2013, with 12 shades in three finishes; matte, satin, and sheen. I have been testing out It’s Complicated, Kiss Me, I’m Tipsy, and Pause for Applause.
- It’s Complicated is a golden peach with a shimmer finish. I’m assuming this is what Benefit has classed as sheen.
- Kiss Me, I’m Tipsy is another sheen finish in spiced brown.
- Pause for Applause is a lovely satin soft lilac.
The shades offer medium pigmentation and have a lovely smooth formula that isn’t powdery. They blend together beautifully and I did not experience any fallout. I typically prefer more pigmentation in my eyeshadows but these give a lovely soft effect that I kinda fell in love with. I have a look featuring these shadows that I will share with you soon. They are indeed long wearing. I only noticed minimal fading through the day with no primer. I recommend wearing a base with these though as it will increase the impact of the colours as well.
The new Benefit Longwear Powder Shadows ($20 US/$24 CAD) will be available March 2013 at Sephora, select Shoppers Drug Mart and Murale boutiques.
