When I attended the Benefit Cosmetics event featuring their new spring colour launches we had the pleasure of watching their artist Maddox demonstrate three looks he created on models of three different skintones. The look I fell the most in love with was his Blue My Mind Look. I knew I had to recreate it and was delighted to see that most of the products he used were included in the samples I got to take home with me.
I used a different black liner as I didn’t have the Magic Ink and I substituted Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light for the blush. Everything else I used is the same. You can see my review of the Blue My Mind and Holy Smokes! Cream Shadows here and I will have a reviews up of the Ultra Plush gloss and amazing They’re Real mascara soon!
I was amazed that I was able to softly blend out the Blue My Mind Creaseless Cream shadow up to my browbone and it looked good. Darn good! Blending out the Holy Smokes! Cream in my crease was practically effortless. I am so amazed at how well these cream shadows work on their own for creating a complete look. Their light texture really works beautifully with a brush.
I apologize for the super poor quality eye shot. I somehow managed to forget to take closeups of my eyes so this is cropped from a full face shot.
Sorry my hair is sort of in front of my eye. I really loved this sort of ice princess look with my new blonde hair. I can see rocking this look often!
The new Benefit products will be available March 2013 at Sephora, select Shoppers Drug Mart and Murale boutiques.
