So I never did get around to writing a review, but I did get swallowed up in the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop hype. I thought it looked absolutely beautiful, from what I was seeing online, but I thought “well, it’s probably a bit too warm and dark for me so I don’t need it”. It isn’t very often I find myself in a Sephora (the nearest on is 1.5 hours away) but about a month ago popped in one when I was in the city for a media event and right at the entrance was Champagne Pop on display. It was stunning! Of course I had to swatch it. Well I was done. As soon as that beauty touched my skin I was sold. It is literally one of the most gorgeous highlighters I’ve ever seen. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfectors are already one of my favourite kinds of highlighters because they do refined shimmer so well. I like my highlighters to glow, not glitter. Champagne Pop can be quite intense but it can also be applied sheerly for a more gentle glow. And yes, my first instincts were correct, it is a little too warm and dark for my skin, but I DON’T CARE. It is just too beyond gorgeous not to wear…which I have been doing often.

When I heard about the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Champagne Glow Palette ($34 US/$44 CAD) I once again tried to convince myself I didn’t need it. I already have the full sized Champagne Pop, and Blushed Copper is far too dark for my complexion. I knew this was a product not to be passed up so I decided this palette would be absolutely perfect for my pro kit. My excitement over being able to give my brides the incredible Champagne Pop glow was intoxicating and of course Blushed Copper would be a welcome addition for my deep skinned beauties. Pearl (the new shade) of course I knew would be stunning. Well I am so dang in love with this palette that I don’t think I can put it in my kit. I am going to have to order a second before they sell out. I MUST have Pearl in my life (until now there has only been a poured cream version of this linen white fabulousness). Blushed Copper looks beautiful as an eyeshadow AND you can mix the shades in the palette for even more beautiful, perfectly glowing shades.
The three shades in the palette are:
- Pearl (pale linen white)
- Champagne Pop (soft white gold with pinky peach undertones)
- Blushed Copper (warm copper infused with rose gold tone)

Seriously you must get this palette. If you love highlighters at all then this is a limited edition release that can’t be missed. It’s also a great bargain because for a little less than the price of a full sized BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector you get to have 3 different shades. The full sized versions are 0.28oz and the total amount of product in the palette is 0.25oz so you aren’t even missing out on volume. I mean DUH this is a MUST HAVE! I haven’t been this excited about a beauty release in a while… can you tell? 😉
Heavy swatches:

I also picked up the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone while I was there because I had been putting it off far too long. Moonstone is a pale ivory gold and is a shade that sits nicely between Pearl and Champagne Pop.

Here are softer swatches of the shades in the palette (you can see the rosy tones coming out in blushed copper more) alongside Moonstone and an old limited edition shade Hyawatha.

Here are swatches of the shades in the Champagne Glow Palette mixed:

The BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Champagne Glow Palette is what beauty dream are made of.
