I had given up on trying drugstore mascaras as I was tired of the constant let down and having to throw new purchases into the trash. When it comes to mascara I am VERY picky. I have sparse, short lashes. I need both length and volume and lots of it. I also can’t stand clumping or spider lashes. A lot of mascaras also have the tendency to straighten my lashes after I’ve curled them with my eyelash curler. My holy grail mascara (which I’ve yet to review) is Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill original mascara. I adore it. It gives mega volume and great length and I don’t even need to use and eye lash comb most days. The only problem is it’s $36 CAD and tends to dry up fairly quickly.
I started hearing some great things about Annabelle’s Le Big Show mascara on Twitter. I thought what the heck, I’ll give another drugstore mascara a go. I don’t know why but I just had a really good feeling about it. Well I was not disappointed. Le Big Show is indeed a great alternative to my Armani Eyes to Kill. It gives the same fabulous volume and length. I do have to use a lash comb more often than with ETK but at almost 1/4 the price I am more than happy dealing with that minor complication. Le Big Show doesn’t smudge or flake and holds a curl like nobody’s business. It is THE BEST drugstore mascara I’ve ever used.
Want lashes that will turn heads? Bat your way to glamour land with the new Le Big Show mascara. The wand does it all: mega volume from the first stroke. Each lash is separated without clumps to give you seemingly endless length. Why fake what you already have?
The secret: buildable formula and nylon bristles to coat each and every lash! Smooth and flake-free, the unique formula beautifies your lashes without smudging or running.
Perfect for all types of lashes, the Le Big Show Mascara’s ophthalmologist tested formula is even suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
So what are you waiting for? Take your eyelashes to Le Big Show!
Suggested retail price: $9.95 CAD.
I’ve been using this mascara a couple weeks now and other than having to comb it a bit to avoid some clumping I am very happy and will absolutely be re-purchasing. I can’t tell you the last time I re-purchased a drugstore mascara so that says a lot!
