Stay tuned peeps because I have a lot of new mascaras to share with you over the coming days, and I am falling in love with many of them. It figures I am going to have a whole bunch of mascaras opened at once that I love. I get so anxious about having multiple mascaras open at one time knowing they will go to waste!
First up we have the new Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara ($23 US/$ CAD). I saw this being used by several bloggers, and by Tarte, on Snapchat so I wasn’t surprised that I loved it after having already seen how amazing it looked on others.
This mascara coats lashes in jet black mineral pigments. It’s a really great mascara for covering all bases. I get really nice volume, length, and lift with this formula. It creates quite a bit of drama but the coat free finish makes it still totally wearable for everyday use.
It has a molded, spikey brush that does a great job of coating lashes, even in the corners. It is one of those brushes that you can poke yourself in the eyeball with though if you’re not careful!
Below you will see two coats of the Tarte Tarteist mascara applied. I did not have to comb my lashes at all for these swatches.
I don’t experience any smudging at all with this mascara but I do encounter a bit of flaking throughout the day. It is a very fine dusting that flakes off so it isn’t really noticeable, and easily sweeps away, so it doesn’t really bother me. It has a nice soft feel on the lashes while still maintaining my lift and curl.
Have you tried the new Tarteist mascara yet? What new mascara launches are you most excited about right now?
I received this product in a creator gift bag at Generation Beauty. All reviews are always my own honest and unbiased opinions.
