NUDESTIX recently released a new product to their range and I think it is my favorite NUDESTIX product to date. The NUDESTIX Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil ($24 US/$28 CAD) is a creamy matte pencil that applies smoothly and evenly. It sets to an incredibly long wearing matte finish that is waterproof and kiss proof. It somehow manages to still feel comfortable. While they aren’t moisturizing, they aren’t drying at all and I found them very pleasant to wear. I was impressed with the true matte finish without the tight, dry feel which usually keeps me away from matte lip products.
On cheeks the silky formula blends in beautifully. You just obviously need to have a light hand with the bolder shades.
Like other NUDESTIX products they come in a beautiful tin with a large mirror on the underside of the lid as well as a quality sharpener. The great thing about these tins is you can fit several pencils in the tin for in your handbag or travel. I also use the tins in my purse for storing other items like portable phone chargers etc.
I tested out the gorgeous soft plum nude pink Belle and the incredibly stunning classic bold red Royal. I am head over heels in love with both.
The perfect companion to the Intense Matte + Cheek Pencils is the NUDESTIX Blur Pencil ($24 US/$28 CAD). This product is an instant line, crease, and pore blurring pencil that creates a smoother looking skin texture. It contains dehydrated hyaluronic acid spheres that penetrate and swell up with moisture in the skin, quickly filling creases and providing long-lasting hydration while vitamins C & E soothe skin. You can apply it around your lip line to help keep lip color in place and apply like a balm as a base to the Intense Matte pencils if you are experiencing dry, chapped lips.
