This week the Makeup Wars team has been challenged with creating an entire makeup look with products that total under $30! I can’t wait to see the $30 Face Makeup Look that everyone comes up with and what their favourite budget products are.
This challenge was really tough for me. Firstly I’m a bit of a luxe lover when it comes to makeup, and secondly, being in Canada $30 doesn’t go near as far as it does in the US! This just goes to show you that you don’t have to break the bank to get a complete makeup look. I think this would be exceptionally helpful for it you ever find yourself in a situation where you are travelling and your makeup it lost. You still need and what to look put together but you don’t want to spend a fortune investing in all new products. I used Walmart for my prices. My look features:
Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous Foundation ($7.97 CAD) – This is an amazing new drugstore foundation. The excellent coverage means I don’t need to worry about fitting a concealer into my tight budget and the gorgeous satin matte finish means I don’t need to set with powder.
Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Brick Rose ($5.47) – This beautiful bronzy rose shade offers the warmth and colour of a bronzer with the rose glow of a blush and the subtle glow it gives means I can skip on the highlighter and still have a luminous complexion.
Essence Eye Shadow Quad in Rock Angel ($3.99 CAD) – Essence has incredible products for even more incredible prices. This eyeshadow quad works out to only $1/per shade and they are all richly pigmented and smooth.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Eyebrow Kit in Ash ($4.95 CAD) – Brows are a step I simply cannot skip and this brow kit from e.l.f. comes in the perfect ash shade for us cool toned blondes who don’t want golden tones in our brows.
NYC Big Bold Curl Mascara ($3.97 CAD) – This mascara gives amazing fluttery length, volume and curl for a bargain price.
Maybelline Baby Lips Crystal in Mirrored Mauve ($3.96 CAD) – I love the new Baby Lips Crystal. They offer enough pigment to compliment your look with a lovely gloss and shimmer.
Total $30.31 (OK, OK. I went 31 cents over, but I’m going to assume the rest of the team will cut me a break up here in the great white north. 😉
